Reality Shifting

I know I haven't posted in a while, but like I also haven't meditated in a while so that probably says something.

There's a lot of random things on Tiktok, and I mean a lot. I think my feed is ninety-five percent activism and LGBTQ+ problems, and the other is like... this.

Reality shifting.

It comes from this particular belief that every decision splits the world in two realities. For example, say you can't pick between your two favorite cereals (I dunno man, I don't eat breakfast). Well, there'd be one universe where you eat cereal A, and another where you eat cereal B.

Think Endgame, and Doctor Strange.

You know...that one reality where they win?

Well, reality shifting is...exactly what it sounds like in this concept. You shift from one reality to another and BAM. Cool, right? Okay, but the weird thing about this Tiktok trend is that everyone wants to go to Hogwarts. And I mean everyone. I mean, if this world has the Harry Potter universe as a book series, why not go to the real thing in some other reality?

Never mind COVID free 2020.

Never mind the world where your wildest dreams come true.

Nah man, you can find me with Dumbledore's Army fighting scary magic-demons.

Jokes aside, I'm not sure how to feel about the concept of multiple realities. I believe in astral projection, and things related to the afterlife, but this world feels too... set in stone. It discredits too much about our physical plane of existence. Why would we matter if there's some better world out there? It feels too pessimistic.

As for the Hogwarts thing... it feels like a bunch of lucid dreaming and fangirl fantasies. Nothing new.

Anyways, I've gotta go. There's a potions exam I CANNOT afford to miss.

I love the idea that there are multiple time lines out there, I mean even if there is some "better" version of me out there, I think that as long as I'm still me then I'm happy. Besides, I think it would be kind of cool if in some alternate universe I was like, some cool rubix cube solving genius
